Asian Stocks Extended Loss on Tuesday amid Geopolitical Tensions and Monetary Tightening

Global equites fell on Tuesday with traders eyeing tense Ukraine situation and tighter monetary policy globally.

The SET, KOSPI, TOPIX, CSI 300 and HSI closed in the red down by 0.09%, 2.56%, 1.72%, 2.26 and 1.67% respectively.

MSCI broad market index ex. Japan is down by 1.33%

U.S. futures opened shedding loss with Dow Jones and S&P 500 down by 0.77% and 0.85% respectively.

Besides equities under pushback ahead of Federal Reserves rate decision and Jerome Powell news conference on Wednesday.

Crude oil futures inched up from yesterday’s session with WTI futures up by 1.00% to $84.16 per barrel while Brentinched down by 1.16% to $87.27 per barrel.
