CHAYO’s Earnings Jump by 41% in 2021, Owing to a Higher Gain on Foreclosed Assets

Chayo Group Public Company Limited (SET: CHAYO) announced its 2021 consolidated financial statement through the Stock Exchange of Thailand as follows;

CHAYO reported a net profit of THB219 million in 2021, an increase of 41% from a net profit of THB155 million in 2020. The main reasons for the increment mainly arose from the increment of revenue and gain on foreclosed assets.

In 2021, CHAYO had a total income of THB720 million, increasing from last year around THB241 million, or 50%. This was due to an increment of interest income from loan to non-performing assets around THB224 million and income from sales of THB22 million.

CHAYO, also, had gain on disposal of foreclosed assets around THB76 million, which increased from the last year around THB38 million. This is because the company sold more foreclosed assets than a year earlier.
