Headline: Analysts recommend “BUY” on both BANPU and IVL after a solid first quarter

On the back of higher coal and gas prices and a THB5.1 billion gain from the sale of Sunseap, analysts anticipate Banpu Plc. (SET: BANPU) to report a net profit of approximately THB9 billion (+482% YoY) in 1Q22. Recommend “BUY” with a target price of THB15.00.

Meanwhile, Indorama Venture Plc. (SET: IVL) is predicted to make a net profit of over THB9,500 million (+54% YoY), with a “BUY” rating and a target price of THB56.50.

Advanced Info Service Plc. (SET: ADVANC) opposes the amalgamation of True Corporation Plc. (SET: TRUE) and Total Access Communication Plc. (SET: DTAC), stating that it would hinder competition and reduce consumer choice. ADVANC further stated that if the NBTC does not suspend the merger, it must compensate ADVANC for the costs incurred during the two rounds of 700 MHz spectrum auctions.
