AOT Loss Narrows to THB2.2 Billion in June Quarter as Air Passengers Rise

Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (SET: AOT) has announced its consolidated financial statement through the Stock Exchange of Thailand as follows;

For the three-month period ended June 30th, 2022, AOT incurred a net loss of Baht 2,207.19 million. Operating results increased by Baht 1,871.28 million compared to the prior year’s corresponding period of which a net loss was Baht 4,078.47 million. 

Revenues from sales or services increased by Baht 2,999.49 million or 179.99% as a result of an increase in aeronautical revenue of Baht 1,570.11 million or 312.82% and non-aeronautical revenue of Baht 1,429.38 million or 122.74% because of the rise in the total number of flights and passengers. 

Other income increased by Baht 411.46 million or 452.85%. 

Total expenses increased by Baht 1,176.06 million or 20.17% mainly due to higher other expenses, employee benefit expenses, loss on derivatives, repairs and maintenance, outsourcing expenses, state property rental and utilities expenses. However, finance costs decreased by Baht 10.15 million or 1.37% and income tax revenues decreased by Baht 335.29 million or 37.90%.
