BTS Group Holdings Public Company Limited (SET: BTS), in collaboration with Bangkok Mass Transit System Public Company Limited, Super Turtle Public Company Limited, VGI Public Company Limited (SET: VGI), Roctec Global Public Company Limited, and Rabbit Holdings Public Company Limited, invites BTS passengers and the public to join the activity “Clean Air We Share: Parade of Fresh Air” with a giveaway of 4,500 air-purifying plants.
This is held in celebration of the International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies, as well as to commemorate BTS SkyTrain reaching 4.5 billion passenger trips, covering a total distance of 157.53 million kilometers. This milestone marks the beginning of its 26th year since the very first train service on 5 December 1999. Over this long journey together, we have collectively reduced greenhouse gas emissions by more than 2.38 million tons of carbon dioxide, equivalent to planting over 250 million trees to absorb carbon dioxide.
The air-purifying plant giveaway will be held on 5 September 2025 across four BTS stations: Phrom Phong Station (E5), Siam Station (CEN), Ha Yaek Lat Phrao Station (N9),and Wat Phra Sri Mahathat Station (N17). A total of 20 species of auspicious plants with excellent air-purifying and toxin-absorbing qualities will be distributed, including Snake Plant, Banyan Tree, Arrowhead Plant, Chinese Evergreen, Syngonium Milk Confetti, Philodendron xanadu, Philodendron sp. ‘Setthimisap’, and Lucky Bamboo, among others.
At each station where the plants are given away, Super Turtle Public Company Limited will also provide a limited number of coffee grounds from Turtle Café’s beverage-making process. These grounds can be used as soil fertilizer to help the plants grow well and repel insects, ensuring that coffee waste is reused to its fullest benefit.
In addition, participants receiving air-purifying plants can scan the QR CODE printed on the eco-friendly paper bag containing the plant to enjoy a “Buy 1 Get 1 Free” coffee promotion at all Turtle Shop branches. This campaign will run only from 5 September – 11 September 2025.
