DUSIT Jumps 14% following Management Reshuffle and Easing Internal Conflicts

On Monday at 10:09 AM (Bangkok time), the share price of Dusit Thani Public Company Limited (SET: DUSIT) soared by 14.06% or THB 1.80 to THB 14.60, with a trading value of THB 82.59 million.

Following the announcement at a press conference on Friday, 12 September 2025, DUSIT revealed the resignation of Suphajee Suthumpun, Group CEO and Board Director, as she prepares to assume the role of Thailand’s Minister of Commerce. Hence, the board approved the appointment of Chanin Donavanik as the new Group CEO.

Mr. Chanin, currently acting as Chairman of the Board of Directors and newly appointed Group CEO, addressed the company’s leadership transition amid reports of internal family disputes. He assured stakeholders that the issues will be resolved amicably and expressed optimism about the upcoming annual general meeting scheduled for 26 September 2025.

He also expressed his gratitude and congratulations to Suphajee on her appointment, noting her new role comes at a pivotal time for the country. “Should her national duties conclude, Dusit Thani will always welcome her back,” Chanin stated. He wished Suphajee success in her government tenure.

Looking ahead, Mrs. Suphajee stated that Dusit Thani’s business direction will remain anchored in its established long-term plans, spanning nearly a decade. The company will persist with its core operations across hotels, education, food, and real estate, including the flagship Dusit Central Park project, valued at over THB 46 billion. Chanin reaffirmed to investors, clients, partners, and stakeholders that all initiatives will proceed as planned, with a firm commitment to growth and stability.

Dusit Thani anticipates a return to profitability in 2026, aided by revenue recognition from the Dusit Residences project, which has achieved nearly THB 17 billion in sales—94% of the project’s value. Transfers of ownership will begin at the end of 2025, with the majority of revenue expected to be recognized in 2026.

The company aims to clear more than THB 1.07 billion in accumulated losses, which have prevented dividend payments for the past five years. DUSIT will also benefit from rising revenues at its network of over 50 hotels worldwide, as part of its expansion strategy.
