The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) Index recorded a slight gain in the morning session, increasing by 0.28%, or 3.54 points, to 1,257.94 points.
Mr. Chaiyaporn Nompitakcharoen, Managing Director of Sales & Trading Business at Bualuang Securities, stated that the sentimental support came from the President of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, who indicated the possibility of monetary policy easing in the December meeting, renewing market expectations for a Fed interest rate cut.
This factor led Asian stock markets to rally in the morning as well. However, there have been no additional new drivers, resulting in the Thai stock market moving within a narrow range.
The market is expected to remain in positive territory during the afternoon, with resistance at 1,265 points and support at 1,250 points.
