SET Index Inches Lower as Investors Await MPC Decision

Globlex Securities stated that the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) Index closed the morning session slightly lower by 0.06%, or 0.74 points, to 1,259.94 points, moving sideways as investors awaited the outcome of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting scheduled for this afternoon.

Buying interest was led by energy and retail stocks, while selling pressure was seen in electronics and transportation stocks.

For the afternoon session, the index is expected to continue fluctuating sideways, as investors remain focused on the MPC meeting. The SET is projected to move within a range of 1,255 – 1,267 points, with a support level at 1,255 and resistance at 1,267.

  • PTT PCL (SET: PTT): Trading value THB 1.44 billion, closed at THB 31.25 per share, unchanged.
  • SCB X PCL (SET: SCB): Trading value THB 1.12 billion, closed at THB 134.50 per share, down THB 0.50 or 0.37%.
  • Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL (SET: DELTA): Trading value THB 1.08 billion, closed at THB 172.50 per share, down THB 3.50 or 1.99%.
  • Airports of Thailand PCL (SET: AOT): Trading value THB 818.66 million, closed at THB 53.75 per share, down THB 0.75 or 1.38%.
  • Gulf Development PCL (SET: GULF): Trading value THB 775.78 million, closed at THB 42.00 per share, up THB 0.50 or 1.20%
