SCG Packaging Public Company Limited (SET: SCGP) has informed the Stock Exchange of Thailand of two developments regarding its business operations in Vietnam with details as follows:
Establishment of Go-Pak International Vietnam Company Limited
Go-Pak UK Limited (Go-Pak), a subsidiary of SCGP Solutions (Singapore) Pte. Ltd, which is wholly owned by SCGP, has established Go-Pak International Vietnam Company Limited (Go-Pak International) as a trading entity in Vietnam with registered capital of $1 million (approximately THB 31.5 million). Go-Pak International will engage in export sales and marketing of foodservice packaging, foodservice-related products, and other consumer products, in alignment with SCGP’s strategic direction.
This initiative will enhance business competitiveness through product portfolio expansion, leverage cross-selling potential across SCGP’s operations in Vietnam, and optimize supply chain efficiency, thereby strengthening SCGP’s operational performance and supporting the company’s long-term growth.
Cancellation of Public Status of Bien Hoa Packaging Joint Stock Company
Bien Hoa Packaging Joint Stock Company (SOVI), a leading fiber packaging manufacturer and subsidiary of SCGP in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, received a confirmation from the State Securities Commission of Vietnam for the voluntary cancellation of its public status from the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE). SOVI is in the process of transitioning to a non-public joint stock company.
The cancellation has been undertaken in compliance with updated Vietnamese regulatory requirements under Decree 56/2024/QH15, while simultaneously providing SOVI with enhanced operational agility and management flexibility. This transition will have no impact on SOVI’s business operations, commercial relationships, or ability to serve its customers.
