Mr. Therdsak Thaveeteeratham, Managing Director of Asia Plus Securities, stated that the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) Index closed the morning session higher by 0.62%, or 7.70 points, at 1,252.00 points, supported by bargain buying in large-cap stocks that had previously fallen sharply, especially Bangkok Dusit Medical Services PCL (SET: BDMS) and CP All PCL (SET: CPALL), as well as the airline sector.
Additionally, Krungthai Card PCL (SET: KTC)’s 4Q25 earnings results exceeded expectations, providing further positive sentiment for finance sector stocks.
Moreover, additional support factors include the pre-election period and the Chinese New Year festival, which are expected to boost demand for commodities in China, thereby driving up buying in oil and petrochemical stocks and pushing the index higher.
For the afternoon outlook, the market is expected to continue trading in positive territory, with resistance at 1,260 points and support at 1,240 points.
