STECON Group Public Company Limited (SET: STECON) has informed the Stock Exchange of Thailand that, on 16 January 2026, the Intercity Motorway Project No. 81 commenced its commercial operation. BGSR 81 Company Limited (BGSR 81) acts as the developer and operator of the core systems of the project, which comprise the toll collection system, the traffic management and control system, the barrier-free automatic toll collection system (M-Flow), as well as safety systems along the entire route, in order to ensure that the operations are conducted in accordance with the applicable standards.
The company’s participation in the investment in the aforementioned project is in line with the company’s business direction to invest in transportation infrastructure projects that play a role in supporting the development of the national transportation and logistics network.
Previously, STECON has informed the SET that the company has participated in the investment in the Intercity Motorway Project No. 81 (Bang Yai–Kanchanaburi Route: M81), which is a public-private partnership project with the Department of Highways.
The investment has been carried out through BGSR 81, a company in which a subsidiary of the company has participated in the investment as one of the investors. The company holds an indirect shareholding through Sino-Thai Engineering and Construction Public Company Limited, together with Gulf Development Public Company Limited (SET: GULF), BTS Group Holdings Public Company Limited (SET: BTS), and RATCH Group Public Company Limited (SET: RATCH).
