Bhumjaithai Party Tops 200 Seats in Decisive Thai Election Lead

Following the closure of polling stations at 5:00 PM on 8 February 2026, the Election Commission (ECT) has begun releasing unofficial results that show the Bhumjaithai Party in a commanding lead. As of 9:15 PM, with approximately 31% of the votes counted, Bhumjaithai has secured a total of 200 seats, comprising 179 constituency seats and 21 party-list seats.

The People’s Party currently holds the second position with 97 seats (71 constituency and 26 party-list), while the Pheu Thai Party sits in third with 83 seats (64 constituency and 19 party-list). The Kla Tham Party has emerged as a significant force in fourth place with 63 seats.
