The 47th Bangkok International Motor Show commenced at Impact Challenger in Muang Thong Thani, organized by Grand Prix International. This year’s event, themed “THE ICONIC SYNCHRONICITY,” highlights automotive innovations with a particular focus on electric vehicles. The interest in EVs is high, due largely to escalating oil prices driven by ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
The show features over 45 prominent car brands showcasing their latest offerings, spanning from high-performance combustion engines to a diverse range of electric models. Luxury brands such as Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin, and Maserati join the exhibition alongside emerging brands like ZEEKR, bringing fresh competition to the Thai market.
Millennium Group Corporation Asia has emerged as a notable participant in recent years. The company presents an extensive array of brands, including BMW, MINI, Honda, and ZEEKR.
A key highlight is the unveiling of “The New XPENG X9,” a 2026 smart electric vehicle equipped with advanced technology and high-voltage architecture. MGC-ASIA shows strong confidence in the XPENG X9, attributing its appeal to the modern design and innovative features, which are expected to drive the brand’s sales, benefiting its smaller models like the G6.
XPENG has set an ambitious target of 2,600 bookings during the show, a significant increase from the previous year, and projects over 3,700 sales for the year, supported by a service network of over 20 centers nationwide.
The motor show is expected to positively impact Thailand’s economy, with organizers forecasting 40,000 to 50,000 total vehicle reservations. This is likely to stimulate domestic economic activity, enhance employment opportunities, and bolster confidence among both investors and consumers amid ongoing global economic fluctuations.
