BGRIM Partners With Mitsubishi Electric Consumer Products to Extend Clean Energy Purchase Agreement

Amata B.Grimm Power Company Limited has signed an amended power purchase agreement for a solar floating project with Mitsubishi Electric Consumer Products (Thailand) Co., Ltd. The collaboration expands production capacity to 5.46 megawatt-peak (MWp), with commercial operation date (COD) set for July 30, 2026.

Mr. Nopadej Karnasuta, President – Thailand, Malaysia and Energy & Industrial Solutions Business at B.Grimm Power Public Company Limited (SET: BGRIM), stated that Amata B.Grimm Power, under B.Grimm Power Public Company Limited—a leader in clean energy in Thailand focused on developing and operating renewable energy and cogeneration power plants—joins forces with Mitsubishi Electric Consumer Products (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (MCP), a producer and exporter of high-quality air conditioners under the “Mitsubishi Electric Mr. Slim” brand for households, offices, and industries. Both companies aim to promote renewable energy use in the Thai industrial sector, aligning with national energy policy and supporting B.Grimm Power’s long-term goal to be a global leader in clean energy production.

This cooperation is part of B.Grimm Power’s 5-year investment plan (2026–2030) valued at over THB 70 billion, with 93% of company capital directed toward renewable energy—including solar floating, rooftop solar, hydropower, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). The company targets having over 50% of its portfolio in renewable energy by 2030 under the GreenLeap – Global and Green strategy and aims for Net-Zero Carbon Emissions by 2050. This also supports MCP’s policy to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030.

Mr. Saroche Arunpairojkul, Executive Vice President – Industrial Customer Relations and Operation Management at BGRIM, stated that after the initial green energy purchase agreement signed on August 8, 2025, with MCP—demonstrating MCP’s keen interest in clean energy—the volume of clean energy purchased from the Solar Floating Project has now been expanded. This not only strengthens the partnership between the two companies but also sets a benchmark for adopting renewable energy in Thailand’s industrial sector, in line with the country’s energy policy.

Mr. Katsuaki Nakagawa, President of Mitsubishi Electric Consumer Products (Thailand) Co., Ltd., said that MCP is committed to increasing the proportion of clean energy continuously, already having installed a solar rooftop system for in-house electricity production. The clean energy collaboration from the Solar Floating Project marks another major milestone for MCP in transitioning to tangible clean energy usage, and supports greenhouse gas emissions reduction from the company’s operations.

MCP is delighted to partner with Amata B.Grimm Power, a capable clean energy partner. This collaboration not only supports MCP’s energy and environmental goals but also reflects the company’s determination to drive Thailand’s industrial sector toward a low-carbon society and a sustainable energy future.
