On Tuesday, Thailand’s SET Index closed the morning trading session at 1,651.45 points, showing an increase of 5.45 points or 0.33%, with a trading value of THB 53.60 billion.
Bualuang Securities (BLS) wrote that the Thai stock market experienced a range-bound movement in the morning session but continued to edge upward. The market saw a sector rotation, with notable buying interest focused on electronics, power plant, and ICT stocks.
Notably, the banking sector, despite several institutions reporting strong results in the second quarter of 2026, faced mild pressure due to sell-on-fact activity.
The brokerage noted that no new significant developments were observed, while geopolitical tensions in the Middle East persist. Although mediators have proposed a temporary ceasefire, the situation remains unclear.
Looking ahead to the afternoon session, the market is expected to continue trading sideways within range, with resistance at 1,660 points and support at 1,640 points.
