Thai Stock Market Outlook on 13 August 2026

Brokers project positive outlooks for the Thai stock market on Thursday, influenced by gains in Asian shares this morning and positive sentiment from the latest U.S. inflation figures. Meanwhile, investors continue to monitor listed companies’ 2Q26 financial reports.

Krungthai XSpring Securities expects the Thai benchmark to move sideways-up, mirroring upward moves seen in Asian bourses following last night’s release of U.S. consumer price index data, which revealed inflation cooling in line with expectations. This outcome has eased fears of an imminent interest rate increase by the Federal Reserve at its upcoming September policy meeting. The resulting drop in bond yields is also viewed as a positive driver for equities.

However, the analyst noted that market participants remain watchful of ongoing discussions to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, an issue that still lacks clarity.

The securities firm sets a resistance level for the SET Index at 1,625 points, with support at 1,600 points.

Daol Securities also anticipates the Thai bourse to move sideways-up, citing improved investor sentiment after the U.S. inflation figure matched expectations, relieving pressure from prospective Fed policy tightening.

Investors continue to track forthcoming second-quarter earnings announcements. Additionally, as part of its regular review, MSCI announced the addition of GUNKUL and HANA, and the removal of CHG and JTS, from its MSCI Thailand Small Cap index.

Last Tuesday, Thailand’s SET Index closed at 1,612.62 points, decreased 11.74 points or 0.72%, with a trading value of THB 69.95 billion.
