Plan B Media Public Company Limited (SET: PLANB) reported a resilient second quarter for 2026, navigating a fragile domestic recovery to deliver a net profit of THB 297 million, a 10% increase year-on-year. The company’s top-line revenue climbed to THB 2,571 million, representing a robust 14.2% expansion compared to the same period last year.
Key Financial Highlights:
- Net Profit: THB 297 million (+10.0% YoY).
- Total Revenue: THB 2,571 million (+14.2% YoY).
- Gross Profit Margin: 33.4% (up from 32.5% YoY).
- Interim Dividend: THB 0.0435 per share.
The quarter’s standout performer was the Engagement Marketing unit, which saw revenue skyrocket 72.1% YoY to THB 626 million. This surge was fueled by high-profile sports marketing initiatives, specifically the management of English Premier League rights and a burgeoning boxing business centered around the Rajadamnern World Series.
Meanwhile, the core Out-of-Home (OOH) Media segment remained the primary revenue anchor at THB 1,945 million (+3% YoY). Efficiency in this segment stayed high, with an overall utilization rate of 74.2%, up from 72.9% a year ago.
Profit growth was underpinned by disciplined cost management and the expansion of high-margin digital assets like the “Exchange Tower Iconic Wrap”. However, the company faced a 25.7% increase in selling, general and administrative (SG&A) expenses, largely driven by commissions tied to the higher sales volume.
The quarter was also marked by a massive strategic shift: a THB 7.2 billion investment in COM7 Public Company Limited (SET: COM7), securing an 11.01% stake. While this move aims for long-term collaboration in retail and tech distribution, it pushed the company’s debt-to-equity (D/E) ratio to 1.13x, up from 0.73x in mid-2025.
Management has maintained its 2026 guidance, targeting revenue growth of 6% to 7% and aiming to push media utilization above 75%. With a strong cash position of THB 3,254 million, PLANB appears well-positioned to integrate its new media assets while leveraging the recovery in Thai tourism and consumer spending.
PLANB has also announced an interim dividend payment of THB 0.0435 per share for the six-month period of 2026. The company set the ex-dividend (XD) date at August 27, 2026, with the dividend payment date scheduled for September 11, 2026.
