On Monday, Thailand’s SET Index closed the morning trading session at 1,626.02 points, showing an increase of 16.96 points or 1.05%, with a trading value of THB 44.21 billion.
Maybank Securities (Thailand) stated that the Thai stock market saw gains in morning trading, in line with the trend observed across overseas markets. The rally was driven by strong buying interest in large-cap stocks, particularly those in the electronics components sector, attributed to the renewed capital inflow into technology shares, following a recent pause.
Domestic factors further supported the market, with solid 2Q26 financial results reported by listed companies. Additionally, the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC) released 2Q26 GDP figures this morning. While GDP growth moderated over the quarter, the figure still exceeded market expectations. There was also renewed momentum in the private sector, which provided support for stocks related to domestic investment.
Looking ahead to the afternoon session, the outlook for the Thai stock market remains positive. Resistance is expected at 1,635-1,640 points, with support at 1,610-1,615 points.
