SET Index Rises Amid Sector Rotation Following Positive Nvidia Performance

On Thursday, Thailand’s SET Index closed the morning trading session at 1,609.03 points, showing an increase of 7.11 points or 0.44%, with a trading value of THB 39.15 billion.

Pi Securities wrote that the Thai stock market opened higher this morning, led primarily by the electronics components sector, particularly DELTA, as well as by industrial estate developers such as AMATA and WHA.

The recent positive earnings report from Nvidia, which surpassed expectations in both revenue and profit, along with continued growth projected for 2027-2028, has driven gains in shares related to artificial intelligence and data center investments. However, there was notable profit-taking in the banking sector. Today’s investment pattern reflects a sector rotation strategy, according to the brokerage.

For the afternoon session, the index is expected to remain in positive territory, with the support level anticipated at 1,606 points and resistance at 1,620 points.
