On Thursday, Thailand’s SET Index closed the morning trading session at 1,580.67 points, showing an increase of 5.60 points or 0.36%, with a trading value of THB 38.84 billion.
Globlex Securities stated that the Thai stock market experienced a slight rebound in the morning session, supported by a decline in U.S. government bond yields and a strengthening of the Thai baht. These factors have encouraged foreign fund flows to return to the market.
There was notable buying interest in banking, transportation, retail, and energy stocks. However, continued selling pressure in the electronics sector remained a limiting factor, resulting in only a modest increase in the overall index.
Looking ahead to the afternoon session, Globlex believes there is still potential for the Thai bourse to rebound, with additional support expected from the healthcare and petrochemical and chemical sectors.
Investors remain cautious and are closely monitoring the outcome of the U.S. Federal Reserve’s meeting next week before making further investment decisions. Globlex estimates the SET Index will move within the range of 1,575 to 1,593 points in the afternoon session.
