Brokers project neutral-to-positive outlooks for the Thai stock market on Tuesday, as the market has recently broken through a key resistance level from strong buying interest in the technology and energy sectors. Investors continue to monitor Thailand’s energy policy and the U.S. interest rates direction.
TISCO Securities expects the Thai benchmark to extend gains in early trading, with main support coming from DELTA, where buyers have returned after an earlier price correction. Continued enthusiasm for artificial intelligence is also helping support demand for the stock.
The brokerage expects buying interest to broaden beyond DELTA into other large-cap shares. The firm identifies energy stocks, supported by global oil prices, and telecommunications companies as potential recipients of those flows.
For external factors, market participants continue to monitor Friday’s U.S. inflation figures.
The securities firm set a support level for the SET Index at 1,610 points, and a resistance level at 1,630 points.
Meanwhile, Daol Securities estimated that the Thai bourse will move range bound, cautioning that investors may take profits following the previous session’s sizable rise. Nevertheless, the analyst expects the benchmark to hold above 1,600 points.
For today, the broker sees no fresh market catalysts, leaving investors to weigh the recent gains against upcoming developments including PDP 2026 public hearing and the U.S. inflation data.
Yesterday, Thailand’s SET Index closed at 1,618.82 points, increasing by 23.24 points or 1.46%, with a trading value of THB 60.08 billion.
