Binance and Binance TH Recognized by Thailand’s Technology Crime Suppression Division for Third Consecutive Year

Binance, the world’s leading blockchain ecosystem, together with its joint venture Binance TH by Gulf Binance, Thailand’s licensed digital asset exchange operator, has once again been recognized by the Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD) of Thailand’s Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), Royal Thai Police, marking the third consecutive year the company has received this distinction.

The recognition, presented during TCSD’s 17th anniversary of the establishment ceremony in Bangkok and attended by Akbar Akhtar, Senior Regional Advisor for Asia-Pacific at Binance, and Nirun Fuwattananukul CFA, CEO of Binance TH by Gulf Binance, highlights a strong working relationship grounded in complementary expertise, continued knowledge-sharing, and a shared objective of effective joint investigations.

Pol. Col. Watcharapan Siripak serves as Deputy Commander of the Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD) under the Central Investigation Bureau of the Royal Thai Police, said, “As digital assets evolve, so do the tactics of cybercriminals. We remain committed to carrying forward our mission to protect the public from cyber threats. This continued recognition reflects the strength of our partnership with Binance and Binance TH and the tangible results it has delivered for Thai law enforcement. We look forward to building on this cooperation in the years ahead.”

Nirun Fuwattananukul CFA, CEO of Binance TH by Gulf Binance, said, “As Thailand tightens crypto rules—like the Travel Rule and new derivatives regulations—protecting users requires strict AML controls and tight teamwork with law enforcement. Earning this recognition for the third straight year proves our commitment to Thailand’s digital asset space. This award validates our commitment, but more importantly, it reflects the trust of Thai users who choose our platform for its security standards and our ongoing partnership with law enforcement to create the safest possible environment for digital asset trading in Thailand.

Akbar Akhtar, Senior Regional Advisor for Asia-Pacific at Binance, said, “This third consecutive recognition isn’t about the award itself — it reflects three years of trust and shared expertise built with TCSD in protecting the public. TCSD’s investigative strength on the ground, combined with Binance’s intelligence and technical depth, has turned that partnership into real outcomes that make it harder for criminals to exploit digital assets. Going forward, our commitment remains the same: to keep closing the gaps bad actors look for, and to keep strengthening Thailand’s own investigative capabilities so this fight only grows stronger.”

The cooperation extends well beyond individual case support. Where circumstances allow, Binance’s Investigations team works with Thai law enforcement to trace lawful requests on tracing blockchain activity, analyze wallet and account relationships, and support cross-border investigations — capability that has become essential as financial crime in the region grows in scale and sophistication. Each side brings a distinct strength to the table: TCSD contributes exceptional investigative and operational capability, while Binance contributes intelligence and technical depth — a model built on complementary strengths.

Binance applies the same rigor to protecting its own platform, with AI-driven risk systems that protected more than 7.7 million users and prevented over US$4.64 billion in potential scam-related losses in the first half of 2026 alone. That same commitment underpins its engagement with Thai authorities across major enforcement initiatives, including Operation Fox Hunt, Operation Skyfall, and Operation 293, which led to the recovery of more than 430,000 USDT following a hacking incident, as well as its recognition as a key partner in Thailand’s national anti-cybercrime agenda at the 2025 Thailand United Against Scams event. Binance and Binance TH remain committed to sustained knowledge sharing and operational support to build a secure digital asset ecosystem for Thailand and the wider region.
