Dr. Saranthinee Mongkolrat (right), Sustainability Division Manager at Sri Trang Agro-Industry Public Company Limited (STA), represented the company in receiving a certificate of recognition at the closing seminar of the “Project to Promote Greenhouse Gas Emission Target Setting for the Industrial Sector towards Net Zero Using the Science Based Target Approach (Phase 3),” organized by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization), or TGO, in collaboration with the Center of Excellence in Energy Efficiency (CEEE), Faculty of Engineering, Thammasat University, at the Thailand Institute of Justice (Public Organization) in Bangkok.
STA was one of 16 industrial organizations participating in the development of a Net Zero Pathway in accordance with TGO’s guidelines for Net Zero GHG Emissions certification. The company aims to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 23% by 2030 and achieve Net Zero by 2050 through improving energy efficiency, increasing the share of renewable energy, and developing greenhouse gas emissions reduction plans at both the factory and Group levels. In parallel, STA is applying digital technologies and AI to analyze carbon-related data, supporting the advancement of a sustainable, low-carbon natural rubber supply chain aligned with global standards.
