On Thursday, Thailand’s SET Index closed the morning trading session at 1,579.50 points, showing an increase of 16.77 points or 1.07%, with a trading value of THB 36.92 billion.
Pi Securities wrote that the Thai stock market advanced during the morning session, in tandem with movements across other Asian markets. Investor sentiment improved as concerns eased following the U.S. Federal Reserve’s meeting last night, during which the central bank decided to raise interest rates, in line with market expectations.
Additionally, the Fed’s Dot Plot indicated that there is a possibility of another rate hike before the end of the year, providing the market with clearer guidance about the future rate trajectory and helping soothe investor anxiety.
Looking ahead to the afternoon session, Pi Securities expects positive momentum to persist, setting a resistance level at 1,590 points and a support level at 1,570 points.
