Thailand’s SET Index closed at 1,604.44 points, increasing by 6.41 points or 0.40%, with a trading value of THB 67.05 billion. The analyst stated that the Thai stock market extended gains along with positive momentum in overseas markets. This came as declining oil prices and U.S. bond yields helped reduce investors’ concerns.
Additionally, buying interest in the technology sector also supported sentiment in the domestic market.
For tomorrow, the analyst expects the Thai benchmark to move sideways within range.
Oil prices dropped 1% after Iran offered to reopen the Strait of Hormuz within seven days, conditional on initial US steps to reduce military pressure. Tehran is also seeking talks to bring hostilities with Washington to a permanent end.
