Gulf Development Public Company Limited (SET: GULF), led by Mr. Sitamon Ratanavadi, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility, together with ‘GULF Volunteers,’ or ‘GULF Asa,’ comprising employees from GULF’s head office and power plants across the Group, is providing 2,000 freshly prepared meals per day, totaling 16,000 meals, to continuously support and help alleviate the hardship of people affected by flooding in Bangkok.

The donation was received on behalf of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) by Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, at the Department of Drainage and Sewerage, 1st Floor, Bangkok City Hall 2 (Din Daeng).

Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, said, “The flood situation in many areas of Bangkok has continued to improve. However, several areas still require close monitoring, particularly along the city’s main canals, where more than 40 critical points remain. Our immediate priority is to lower water levels in the main canals to allow water from surrounding communities to drain more effectively. We will then accelerate efforts to pump water out of areas where flooding persists. It is also essential that we continue to closely monitor both upstream water flows and high tides.”

“In terms of assistance for affected residents, BMA has adjusted its food distribution system to deliver meals directly to those impacted by the flooding. In areas where water levels have receded, we are preparing to gradually move into the recovery phase, beginning with cleaning operations and the removal of waste and large damaged items. Personnel and equipment from unaffected districts will be deployed to support the hardest-hit areas. I would like to thank all sectors for their support and assistance. We have also instructed our teams to expedite the distribution of resources and assistance to areas that remain difficult to access, ensuring that affected residents receive comprehensive support and can return to their normal lives as soon as possible.”

Mr. Sitamon Ratanavadi, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility, Gulf Development Public Company Limited, said, “We have been closely monitoring the flooding situation in Bangkok, and I deeply understand the hardship faced by affected communities. GULF and our GULF Asa volunteers therefore came together to prepare relief kits and drinking water for the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration to distribute to people in flood-affected areas. As fellow members of Thai society, we want to do everything we can to help ease the hardship people are facing.

“Following our recent delivery of relief kits and drinking water, we learned from the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration that there remains a significant need for freshly prepared meals. Today, my team and I have therefore delivered an additional 2,000 meal boxes to BMA. GULF will provide 2,000 freshly prepared meals per day, totaling 16,000 meals, for distribution to people affected by flooding across Bangkok.”

“I would like to extend my heartfelt support to everyone affected by the floods and express my sincere appreciation to all BMA officials and personnel who have dedicated their time and efforts to caring for and assisting communities to the fullest of their ability. I sincerely hope that the situation improves soon. GULF remains committed to extending our care and providing continued support, standing alongside the Thai people and joining forces to overcome every challenging situation together.”

Prior to this latest support, GULF Asa volunteers prepared and delivered more than 650 relief kits under the ‘GULF Care’ initiative, containing essential supplies including UHT milk, canned food, instant noodles, and basic medicines, together with 6,000 bottles of drinking water. The supplies were handed over to BMA for distribution to help alleviate the hardship of people affected by the flooding.

GULF remains committed to continuing its mission to support communities affected by disasters and will work closely with relevant authorities to ensure that assistance reaches areas in need appropriately and in a timely manner. These efforts reaffirm GULF’s commitment to being part of Thai society and standing alongside people in times of need, helping alleviate hardship and supporting community recovery so that affected residents can overcome the crisis and return to their normal lives as soon as possible.
