Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (SET: THAI) is ramping up efforts to manage its flight operations and mobilizing resources across all departments to prepare for the resumption of all scheduled services on October 3, 2026.
The flagship carrier of Thailand said it is accelerating flight management and coordinating resources from across the organization to ensure readiness to operate all flights according to schedule from October 3.
The airline said it had reduced its flight schedule by 15 flights on October 1 and nine flights on October 2, respectively, to align operations with its available capacity during the period.
The latest update comes after Thai Airways faced significant operational disruption in recent days, with flight delays, cancellations and a backlog of delayed baggage affecting passengers at Suvarnabhumi Airport.
Earlier, Thai Airways had progressively announced additional flight cancellations through October 3 as it worked to manage the disruption. The airline also temporarily suspended the acceptance of inbound and outbound cargo at its cargo warehouse from September 30 to October 6, citing the impact of flooding on employee availability and warehouse operations.
To provide additional assistance to passengers, Thai Airways will open its ticketing office at its Vibhavadi Rangsit headquarters on Saturday, October 3, and Sunday, October 4, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The additional opening hours are intended to provide passengers with another channel for assistance and facilitate services during the ongoing operational recovery.
Thai Airways thanked passengers for their understanding and cooperation throughout the situation and apologized for the inconvenience caused.
The airline added that it would review the experience from the incident and improve its operational management procedures to help minimize the impact on passengers and prevent similar situations from occurring in the future.
