SET Index Gains Momentum on Tech and Refinery Buying Interest

On Tuesday, Thailand’s SET Index closed the morning trading session at 1,586.48 points, showing an increase of 10.03 points or 0.64%, with a trading value of THB 38.53 billion.

Bualuang Securities (BLS) stated that the Thai stock market increased during the morning session, following the positive direction of most Asian equity markets. The sentiment was primarily supported by technology-related stocks, notably DELTA, which led the electronics component sector after the NASDAQ reached an all-time high overnight.

Meanwhile, refinery stocks also contributed to the index’s gain in the morning in response to news that Saudi Arabia announced a reduction in crude oil prices for orders in November. Additionally, the Ministry of Commerce reported Thailand’s September inflation figures that came in lower than market expectations, easing concerns among investors.

For the afternoon session, the market is expected to continue trading in positive territory, with resistance at 1,590 points and support at 1,570 points.
