Market Roundup 20 October 2026

Thailand’s SET Index closed at 1,554.94 points, decreasing by 16.78 points or 1.07%, with a trading value of THB 60.71 billion. The analyst stated that the Thai stock market declined along with Asian markets’ trend, largely due to selling pressure from big-cap shares, especially the technology sector. A retreat in TTB following its 3Q26 earnings report also added to the pressure, as traders raised concerns over a potential surge in NPLs.

Lingering tensions in the Middle East also affected market sentiment, with many investors opting to reduce exposure to risk assets.

For tomorrow, the analyst expects the Thai market to move sideways.
