Thailand’s Factory Output Drops 5.6% in November, Weakest Pace in 27 Months

Thailand’s factory output in November dropped more than expected amid slowing global demand and several shutdowns of refineries for maintenance.

The manufacturing production index (MPI) in November showed a drop of 5.6% from a year earlier, representing Thailand’s weakest pace in 27 months. The figure was higher than the forecast of 3.7% drop by Reuters poll and a 3.95% adjusted data in October.
