MSCI Announces Key Changes to Thai Stocks in May 2025 Review

In its May 2025 index review, MSCI has announced significant adjustments affecting several Thai equities within its global and small-cap indices. The changes highlight strategic shifts and realignments across the MSCI spectrum.

Within the MSCI Global Index, there will be no additions this cycle. However, three entities are set for removal: Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited (BEM), Central Retail Corporation (CRC), and Krungthai Card Public Company Limited (KTC).

For the MSCI Small Cap Index, the review has introduced Asset World Corp Public Company Limited (AWC) and Bangkok Expressway and Metro (BEM) to its roster of inclusions. Meanwhile, a wave of deletions sees Aurora Design Public Company Limited (AURA), Banpu Public Company Limited (BANPU), DoHome Public Company Limited (DOHOME), Gunkul Engineering Public Company Limited (GUNKUL), Jasmine International Public Company Limited (JAS), Jaymart Group Holdings Public Company Limited (JMART), MK Restaurant Group Public Company Limited (M), and Prima Marine Public Company Limited (PRM) being dropped from the index.

These adjustments were announced on May 13, 2025, and will come into effect starting June 2, 2025.
