Following the results of the MSCI Equity Indexes review for May 2025, with all changes set to take effect following the market closure on May 30, 2025, there are no new additions of Thai stocks to the MSCI Global Standard index.
However, three firms have been removed, including BEM, CRC, and KTC.
As for the MSCI Global Small Cap, the index saw two Thai companies added: AWC and BEM, while eight have been removed, namely: AURA, BPP, DOHOME, GUNKUL, JAS, JMART, M, and PRM.
Under the MSCI Global Micro Cap index, there were no additions or removals of Thai stocks.
Trinity Securities noted that stocks that may face short-term negative sentiment include BEM, CRC, and KTC, due to their removal from the major index. However, the impact on BEM might be more muted as it was merely downgraded rather than completely removed, while AWC could experience a slight positive sentiment from being included in the Small Cap index.
