Iranian Missiles Strike Israeli Cities in Retaliation of Nuclear Reactor Attacks

Iranian missiles strike key cities in Israel, following an attack on Iran’s nuclear facility, reported Al Jazeera. Massive detonations were reported to have been heard over Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

The missiles inflicted significant damage at four locations in central and southern Israel, notably impacting Soroka hospital. In retaliation, Israeli military forces targeted Iran’s Arak heavy water nuclear reactor.

President Donald Trump has stated that he is considering a range of actions regarding potential U.S. military involvement amidst the rising tensions.

“Iran wants to negotiate,” said the president but he quickly added, “I said it’s very late. Why didn’t you negotiate with me before all this death and destruction? Why didn’t you negotiate?’ I said to people, ‘Why didn’t you negotiate with me two weeks ago? You could have done fine. You would have had a country.’”

“They suggested they come to the White House,” said Trump. “But it’s difficult.” Still, the U.S. president insists on unconditional surrender for Iran.

“I may do it. I may not do it,” Trump told reporters outside the White House when asked about attacking Iran. “Nobody knows what I’m going to do.”

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, warned of serious irreparable consequences should any offensive be launched on Iranian soil.
