GULF Donates THB1.2 Million to Injured Soldiers from Chong Bok Landmine Incident

Gulf Development Public Company Limited (SET: GULF), led by Sittimon Ratanavadi, Assistant Vice President, presented a donation of THB 1.2 million to three soldiers injured by landmines while patrolling the Thai-Cambodian border in Ubon Ratchathani.

The recipients—Private Thanapat Huiwan (who suffered a leg amputation), Sergeant Pattiphat Srilasak, and Private Nattawut Srikhem—received the funds as a morale booster and recognition of their sacrifice and bravery.

The presentation ceremony took place at Fort Sunpasitthiprasong Hospital, with Major General Akkarapon Moolpradub and Colonel Sala Thapthawon (the hospital director) in attendance.

Seeing the impact of these incidents firsthand is deeply affecting, particularly knowing that many of these frontline soldiers are supporting families and have loved ones relying on them. Having a grandfather who served in the military, He understood these hardships on a personal level and felt a strong responsibility to offer support—no matter how modest, Sittimon remarked.

During his visit, Sittimon also learned that Fort Sunpasitthiprasong Hospital urgently needs essential medical equipment to respond to emergencies along the border, and must always be prepared for injuries arising from ongoing border tensions.

Moreover, GULF affiliates Thaicom and AIS (SET: ADVANC) have supported the Thai-Cambodian border defense mission by providing high-speed satellite internet for border operation centers and mobile units, and by expanding 4G/5G coverage in remote operational areas. These efforts improve real-time coordination and security communications for state officials stationed at the frontier.
