Bangchak Sriracha Assures No Operational Impact from Refinery Fire Incident

Bangchak Sriracha Public Company Limited (SET: BSRC) has informed the Stock Exchange of Thailand that on 26 July 2025, at approximately 12.10 p.m., a fire occurred in the crude oil distillation tower area at the Atmospheric Pipestill Unit No. 2, at Bangchak Sriracha Refinery, located in Chonburi Province. The fire was swiftly brought under control by 12.35 p.m.

As a result of the incident, two personnel sustained minor injuries, and there were no fatalities. The company has promptly notified the relevant authorities. A preliminary assessment indicates minimal damage, with no material impact on the company’s operations and financial performance.

In response to the incident, Atmospheric Pipestill Unit No. 2 will be temporarily shut down for approximately 7 days to facilitate effective repairs to the affected equipment. The repair process is being conducted efficiently and thoroughly following a structured maintenance plan, with the highest priority placed on safety and operational integrity. The Atmospheric Pipestill Unit No. 2 will resume operations immediately upon completion of the repair work.

Meanwhile, the Bangchak Sriracha Refinery continues to operate with production at the Atmospheric Pipestill Unit No. 1 as usual. The company has also implemented production and inventory management strategies to ensure that the incident causes minimal disruption to customers, business partners, and stakeholders.

BSRC reaffirms that the safety of employees, contractors, surrounding communities, and the environment has always been the highest priority, and remains a fundamental principle in all aspects of the company’s business operations.
