KTC and HMPRO Secure Spots in MSCI Small Cap amid Multiple Deletions

MSCI has unveiled a fresh round of rebalancing affecting Thai stocks, following its quarterly review of global standard indexes. The revisions, effective as of the close on August 26, reflect shifting dynamics across the Thai equity landscape.

In the MSCI Global Standard Index, two notable names will exit: Home Product Center Public Company Limited (SET: HMPRO) and PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited (SET: OR) are set to be removed, with no Thai companies added this quarter.

Turning to the MSCI Global Small Cap Index, the review sees the inclusion of Krungthai Card Public Company Limited (SET: KTC) and the re-entry of Home Product Center (SET: HMPRO), following their departure from the larger benchmark. Conversely, ICHI, SISB, and Thai Petrochemical Industry Public Company Limited (SET: TPIPL) will be dropped from the small-cap list.
