BCPG Public Company Limited (SET: BCPG) and its subsidiaries reported strong results for the third quarter of 2026, with core profit of THB 1,287.8 million, up 81.0% year-on-year. For the first nine months of 2026, core profit rose 101.6% year-on-year to THB 2,098.2 million.
The growth was driven by solid performance across the company’s multi-country portfolio, including the recognition of results from the Monsoon Wind Power Project in Lao PDR, an outstanding third-quarter performance from its hydropower plants in Lao PDR, and its natural gas power business in the United States. Growth in the oil terminal and seaport business, together with lower finance costs from proactive debt management, also contributed.
Rawee Boonsinsukh, Chief Executive Officer and President of BCPG Public Company Limited, said the company’s Q3/2026 performance improved significantly from the same period last year. Total revenue rose 1.5% year-on-year to THB 1,116.9 million, operating EBITDA increased 37.9% to THB 2,159.2 million, and core profit grew 81.0% to THB 1,287.8 million.
A key growth driver was a 45.6% year-on-year increase in the share of profit from BCPG’s natural gas power business in the United States. This was supported by a higher capacity price, which rose from USD 270 to USD 329 per megawatt-day, as well as stronger electricity demand and a wider spark spread.
Meanwhile, the Monsoon Wind Power Project in Lao PDR contributed a full quarter of operating results, further supported by the monsoon season and typhoon activity during the quarter.
For the first nine months of 2026, BCPG reported core profit of THB 2,098.2 million, up 101.6% year-on-year, while operating EBITDA rose 36.6% to THB 4,538.0 million.
After the end of the quarter, BCPG completed the sale of its stake in the Hamilton natural gas power projects in the United States in late October 2026. The cash proceeds and the gain on the divestment will be reflected in the company’s Q4/2026 results.
“This exceptional growth reflects the strength of BCPG’s businesses and our ability to generate returns from our assets, supported by efficient management of financing costs. We will build on this success by further enhancing operational efficiency and managing our investment portfolio prudently, strengthening our business and creating long-term value for shareholders,” Rawee concluded.
