Thai Banking Stocks Rally as Dividend Payout Announcements Spur Investor Confidence

On Friday at 11:49 AM (Bangkok time), the share price of Kasikornbank Public Company Limited (SET: KBANK) increased by 0.60% or THB 1.00 to THB 168.50, with a trading value of THB 1.11 billion.

Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited (SET: BBL) gained 0.64% or THB 1.00 to THB 156.50, with a trading value of THB 413.10 million.

SCB X Public Company Limited (SET: SCB) rose by 0.78% or THB 1.00 to THB 129.00, with a trading value of THB 307.70 million.

Kiatnakin Phatra Bank Public Company Limited (SET: KKP) grew by 0.42% or THB 0.25 to THB 60.00, with a trading value of THB 177.53 million.

Bank of Ayudhya Public Company Limited (SET: BAY) added 0.43% or THB 0.10 to THB 23.60, with a trading value of THB 4.52 million.

 

The Thai banking sector saw a positive momentum, in contrast with a broader downward movement seen in the SET Index, as most major banks, including SCB, KBANK, BBL, BAY, TISCO, and KKP, announced robust interim dividend payments for the first half of 2025.

SCB approved an interim dividend of THB 2.00 per share, representing a yield of approximately 1.56%. The ex-dividend date is set on September 2, with payouts scheduled for September 19.

KBANK also approved an interim dividend of THB 2.00 per share, yielding 1.19%, with the ex-dividend date set for September 10 and payment on September 26.

BAY declared an interim dividend of THB 0.40 per share, offering a yield of 1.70%, while BBL announced a THB 2.00 per share payout, yielding 1.28%. Both banks have set their ex-dividend dates for September 10, with BAY scheduled to pay on September 25 and BBL on September 26.

TISCO announced an interim dividend of THB 2.00 per share, delivering a yield of 1.98%. The ex-dividend date is set for September 10, with the payout scheduled for September 25.

KKP disclosed an interim dividend of THB 1.50 per share, with the highest yield among peers at 2.51%. The ex-dividend date for the bank is also September 10, while shareholders will receive their payments on September 25.
