Precious Shipping Public Company Limited (SET: PSL) has announced the disposal of one older vessel, the Supramax Bulk Carrier M.V. “Warisa Naree”. The sale was executed by its wholly-owned Thai subsidiary, Precious Ponds Limited (the Seller), signing the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on 10 November 2025.
This transaction is central to the company’s strategic objective to rejuvenate its fleet by selling older ships and acquiring younger, larger vessels. The M.V. “Warisa Naree,” built in 2010 with a Deadweight Tonnage (DWT) of about 53,839, was sold because it is classified as old.
The Sale Price of the Vessel stands at USD 9,500,000, which the Company has confirmed is the market price. The Buyer, an unrelated overseas company, lodged a 10% deposit on 20 November 2025. Delivery of the vessel is anticipated between 25 November and 20 December 2025.
Following this disposal, and factoring in four ordered and two purchased vessels yet to be delivered, Precious Shipping’s fleet will consist of 46 vessels with an aggregate capacity of about 2,202,351 DWT. The transaction, along with other recent asset disposals, does not trigger specific disclosure requirements under Stock Exchange of Thailand rules.
