Precious Shipping Public Company Limited (SET: PSL) has announced via the Stock Exchange of Thailand the disposal of one Supramax Bulk Carrier, viz. M.V. Kanchana Naree by Precious Metals Limited, a wholly-owned Thai subsidiary of the company.
The transaction was conducted on August 28, 2026, after Precious Metals signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the buyer that does not have any relationship with the company. The sale price of the vessel is $14,590,000, which is in line with the market price. The vessel is expected to be delivered to the buyer within September 11 – October 15, 2026.
After the disposal of this vessel, and accounting for two vessels ordered for construction but not yet delivered, the company’s fleet will consist of 43 vessels with an aggregate capacity of about 2,077,855 DWT.
The transaction was in accordance with the company’s strategy to rejuvenate its fleet by selling its older vessels and acquiring younger and bigger vessels. This vessel is old, and therefore, has been sold.
