SMO Maintains Full Operations in Southern Thailand, Unaffected by Flood Crisis

Mr. Kittipong Puangmala, Chief Executive Officer of Smothong Group Public Company Limited (SET: SMO), stated that all three factories—Tha Chana District, Surat Thani Province; Phanom District, Surat Thani Province; and AL Palm Factory, Chumphon Province—continue to operate as usual and have not been affected by the flooding.

The factories are fully prepared to purchase oil palm fruits from farmers consistently during this flood situation, aiming to alleviate hardships and support local farmers’ incomes. The company is closely monitoring the situation and is ready to adjust plans to keep the supply chain running smoothly.

Although many areas in the southern region are experiencing heavy rainfall and flooding, SMO’s infrastructure, logistics system, and internal management measures are designed to handle emergencies, allowing production and raw material procurement to proceed without interruption.

At the same time, the company confirms its readiness to continue production, procurement, and partner services, while taking part in supporting the agricultural community during this flood crisis.

SMO is prepared to work with local government agencies to ensure comprehensive support for farmers during this period, and is committed to working with communities on recovery efforts once the situation improves.

Additionally, the company reiterates its commitment to sustainable business practices, emphasizing stability in production, partner services, supply chain continuity, and support for farming communities.
