SET Index Dips as DELTA Selloff Drags Market Down in Morning Trade

Mr. Sorrabhol Virameteekul, Assistant Managing Director and Head of Investment Strategy Team at Kasikorn Securities, stated that the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) Index closed lower this morning by 0.97%, or 12.37 points, to 1,261.03 points, following other Asian markets. The main factor was selling pressure on DELTA shares, which dragged the index down by about 9 points due to sector rotation from technology stocks into other groups.

He noted that the SET Index is consolidating after a significant rise yesterday, while trading value remains light and the market is awaiting key events this week, especially the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting tomorrow. The index is expected to remain in negative territory this afternoon, with resistance at 1,280 points and support at 1,260 points.
