Gulf Development Public Company Limited (SET: GULF) has informed the Stock Exchange of Thailand that on January 9, 2026, Gulf Edge Company Limited (Gulf Edge), a wholly owned subsidiary of the company, implemented a restructuring of the shareholding structure in GSA Data Center 03 Company Limited (GSA03).
As part of the restructuring, Gulf Edge acquired a 70% shareholding in GSA03 through Gulf Edge Data Center Company Limited (Gulf Edge DC), a wholly owned subsidiary of Gulf Edge, while AIS DC Venture Company Limited, a company under Advanced Info Service Public Company Limited (SET: ADVANC), acquired the remaining 30% shareholding. The share transfer has been completed, with the total investment value attributable to Gulf Edge amounting to THB 175,000.
This share acquisition represents a strategic collaboration between the company and ADVANC to enhance the capabilities of the data center business. The company contributes its expertise in securing a stable power supply and developing industrial-grade infrastructure, while ADVANC brings strengths in advanced telecommunications networks, including 5G and high-speed fiber-optic networks, as well as extensive experience in operating data center businesses and serving global customers. This collaboration is expected to support the sustainable and resilient growth of the country’s digital infrastructure.
GSA03 is engaged in the development of a data center with a service capacity of up to 100 megawatts, located in Rayong Province within the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), a strategically important area for the country’s development of key industries and digital infrastructure.
The project is currently under development and has already secured confirmations of intent to use services from customers, and is in the process of negotiating service agreements. Commercial operation is expected to commence in 2027. In addition, the project has potential for further expansion of service capacity to accommodate future customer demand.
In addition, the group has two other data center projects, namely GSA01, with a maximum service capacity of up to 25.6 megawatts, located in Samut Prakan Province, which has been in commercial operation since the second quarter of 2025 and is currently operating at near full capacity, and GSA02, with a maximum service capacity of up to 38.1 megawatts, located in Chonburi Province within the EEC.
GSA02 is currently under construction and is scheduled to commence commercial operation in the first quarter of 2027, with approximately 60% of its total service capacity secured through executed service agreements and confirmed expressions of intent from both domestic and international customers, and is currently in discussions with additional customers.
The development of these projects aims to respond to the rapidly growing demand for data center services from both the public and private sectors, particularly business organizations undergoing digital transformation through the adoption of cloud services and the development of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.
These data centers will help enhance the security and reliability standards of digital infrastructure, while also establishing a critical foundation for the country’s sustainable growth. Should there be any progress in the development of these projects, the company will inform the Stock Exchange of Thailand and shareholders accordingly.
