This course is designed to prepare students for a career as fund managers, featuring knowledge sharing and real-world experience from experts in the fund management profession, and helping them transition into the field of fund management and investment in the future. The official opening event for the program was held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at KH Academy Ratchathewi Campus.
Mr. Burapha Sanguanwong, Founder of KH Academy, led the executive team in welcoming 51 student participants from 10 institutions: Chulalongkorn University, Thammasat University, Kasetsart University, Srinakharinwirot University, Mahidol University, Prince of Songkla University, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Rajamangala University of Technology, Bangkok University, and Ramkhamhaeng University.
During the event, Mr. Burapha gave opening remarks and shared insights with students about the role, duties, and responsibilities of fund managers. He stated, “A fund manager is a professional entrusted with managing investors’ money to deliver optimal and sustainable returns. This profession demands a high level of responsibility, integrity, and transparency in every decision. Our program focuses on transferring both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience, delivered by experts from leading organizations, to help students comprehend the profession’s roles in the capital market and understand comprehensive risk management. Even if some may not become fund managers in the future, the financial knowledge and skills acquired from this program will be useful and applicable in various other careers and will lay the groundwork for personal financial stability. The program also opens up opportunities for students from different universities to build networks.”
The orientation activities began with a morning foundation class in basic finance, with Asst. Prof. Dr. Kanix Bukkavesa, CFA, Mahidol University International College (MUIC), served as the key speaker.
In the afternoon session, knowledge sharing continued on sustainable organizational development and the integration of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors, with Dr. Worapong Janyangyuen, Advisor to the Dean at Thammasat Business School and Director of the BBA International Program, delivering the lecture.
The 5th ‘Prep for Fund Manager’ program is supported by the Thailand Capital Market Development Fund (CMDF), providing a platform for students to gain both theoretical and applied knowledge over a course of 12 classes.
