TOPS Invites Thai to Unite in Fight against Global Warming through “60+ Earth Hour 2026” Campaign

TOPS, the food business under Central Retail (SET: CRC), continues to support the Central Group’s policy by joining as a key network partner alongside the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s Environment Department, the Foundation for Environmental Education for Sustainable Development (Thailand), and WWF Thailand for the third consecutive year.

The collaboration aims to support the 60+ Earth Hour 2026 campaign, encouraging a one-hour lights-off initiative to save energy and combat global warming on Saturday, 28 March 2026, from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM. This year, TOPS will turn off storefront logo signage at all TOPS, TOPS FOOD HALL, TOPS FINE FOOD, and TOPS DAILY branches nationwide for one hour, as a concrete effort to reduce energy consumption. Meanwhile, in-store services will continue as usual, and essential lighting related to safety such as parking areas and building entrances and exits will remain operational to ensure convenience and confidence for customers throughout the period.

The “60+ Earth Hour 2026” campaign is a global initiative held continuously for its 20th year, reflecting TOPS’ strong commitment to promoting responsible energy consumption while actively contributing to a low-carbon society. This initiative is part of the ‘12 Missions to Sustainable Retail’, specifically under the Energy Saving pillar, driven by the “Small Acts Together” concept—believing that small actions, when combined, can create meaningful impact for the planet.

This approach aligns with Central Retail Corporation’s “CRC Care” philosophy, particularly in the dimension of Care for the Environment, which focuses on achieving sustainable growth alongside environmental stewardship. During the campaign period, the collective effort is expected to reduce electricity consumption by more than 2,100 kilowatt-hours (kWh) and lower carbon emissions by over 1.05 ton of CO₂ equivalent (tCO₂e), demonstrating how small, conscious actions can deliver tangible environmental impact on a broader scale.

On this occasion, TOPS invites customers and the Thai public to be part of the fight against global warming through simple actions—by turning off unnecessary lights and reducing energy consumption in daily life. Join millions around the world in showing your collective power on Saturday, 28 March 2026, from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM, and be part of creating a more sustainable future for our planet.
