POINTX Reinforces Points Platform Leadership with “The Ultimate Connectivity Platform” Concept

POINTX, the points management app under SCBX Group (SET: SCB), has reaffirmed its position as the leading points platform by unveiling its 2026 business plan under the concept “The Ultimate Connectivity Platform.” The plan advances point utility across three connectivity dimensions: connecting capabilities within SCBX Group, partnering with leading players across industries, and enabling seamless online-to-offline usage.

POINTX is also expanding its role to connect points with everyday lifestyle experiences across all dimensions, and will partner with a global player to launch XTravel Powered by Expedia — a new travel platform — with the ambition of turning every accumulated point into practical, everyday value across life’s moments.

However, data from the POINTX application in Q1 2026 clearly reflects a significant shift in consumer behavior compared to the previous year, with users increasingly leveraging their points to manage everyday expenses.

More than 43% of point redemptions were used for cashback and credit card bill payments, followed by product and e-coupon redemptions at 29%, and airline miles at 16%. Overall point usage grew by 217% compared to the same period last year*, while point usage via QR code scanning increased by 123%, and online shopping through mobile banking rose by over 113% (*Q1 2026 compared to Q1 2025).

Based on these trends, POINTX aims to redefine points from ‘hard-to-access rewards’ into ‘everyday value,’ by removing limitations and enhancing flexibility, enabling users to conveniently integrate their accumulated points into daily life, making them more convenient and delivering truly meaningful value.”

POINTX has recently partnered with global partner Expedia Group to launch XTravel, Powered by Expedia — a next-generation travel platform seamlessly integrated with the POINTX app. Users can search and redeem points toward flights, hotels, and travel services worldwide, all within a single app. XTravel is accessible exclusively via the POINTX app.

SCB views the integration of POINTX points with SCB LET’S debit cards under the concept of “Spend and Earn Points” as a new standard for debit cards in Thailand—transforming their role from a “cash withdrawal tool” into a more rewarding and practical everyday spending option. Customers can now earn points from everyday transactions and redeem them in a variety of ways.

CardX has found that after integrating points with POINTX, customers have been redeeming their points more consistently. This reflects how the platform serves as an accessible, convenient tool for point redemption, allowing users to redeem instantly at any time. It enhances the Loyalty Program, helping to create a better customer experience and support sustainable growth in card spending.

Meanwhile, The Mall Group sees its partnership with POINTX as enabling true flexibility for customers—from cross-platform point transfers and in-mall earning points back via QR code payments, as well as redeeming products and e-Coupons across The Mall Group’s network via XStore—allowing for a truly seamless experience.
