Thai Princess Bajrakitiyabha Passes Away Peacefully at 47

The Bureau of the Royal Household has issued an announcement regarding the passing of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati. Concurrently, His Majesty the King has commanded the Royal Household to organize the funeral rites with the highest royal honors in accordance with traditional court customs.

On June 12, 2026, the Bureau of the Royal Household released an official statement regarding the passing of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati.

The statement reads: Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati, had been hospitalized and under treatment at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, Thai Red Cross Society, since December 15, 2022, following a loss of consciousness due to a heart condition, as previously detailed in consecutive periodic statements by the Bureau of the Royal Household.

Since May 21, 2026, Her Royal Highness’ condition deteriorated due to an abdominal infection caused by colitis (inflammation of the large intestine), coupled with low blood pressure, cardiac arrhythmia, and abnormal blood clotting. Despite the medical team providing close treatment to the absolute best of their abilities, Her Royal Highness’ condition progressively worsened. Her Royal Highness passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 19:48 (7:48 PM) at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, Thai Red Cross Society, at the age of 47.

His Majesty the King has graciously commanded the Bureau of the Royal Household to organize the royal funeral proceedings with the highest honors according to traditional court practices. Her Royal Highness’ royal body will be lying in state at Piman Rattaya Throne Hall inside the Grand Palace.
