BCPG Public Company Limited (SET: BCPG) reported strong operating results for the first half of 2026 with core net profit of THB 810.6 million, up 146.3% from the same period last year. For the second quarter, the Company recorded core net profit of THB 180.8 million, an increase of 37.9% from previous year.
Rawee Boonsinsukh, CEO and President of BCPG Public Company Limited, disclosed that the strong performance was driven by solid contributions from the Company’s power generation business, revenue recognition from newly commissioned projects, and effective financial cost management.
In Q2/2026, BCPG recorded total revenue of THB 806.7 million, up 3.4% year-on-year. The increase was mainly attributable to improved performance of its hydropower plants in Laos, higher electricity sales from solar power plants in Thailand, and additional revenue from newly commissioned rooftop solar projects with total capacity of 19.6 MW.
The Company’s core net profit rose to THB 180.8 million, up 37.9% from the same period last year, supported by higher operating revenue, increased equity income from natural gas power plants in the United States due to higher capacity payments, and lower finance costs.
For the first six months of 2026, the Company generated total revenue of THB 1,905.4 million, an increase of 26.1% year-on-year. The growth was driven by the first-time recognition of revenue from the transfer of District Cooling System project, stronger contributions from hydropower plants in Laos and solar power plants in Thailand resulting from higher solar irradiation, and additional rooftop solar capacity, as well as continued growth in oil terminal business, which was supported by revised service fees and higher pipeline transportation volume following the commercial operation of Bangchak Group’s Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production facility.
As a result, BCPG’s first half core net profit reached THB 810.6 million, up 146.3% from the same period last year. The strong performance was further supported by higher equity income from natural gas power plants in the United States, revenue recognition from the Monsoon Wind Power Project in Laos, and lower finance costs resulting from efficient debt management, reflecting the Company’s strengthened financial position.
The first half results demonstrate the resilience of BCPG’s diversified energy investment portfolio and disciplined portfolio management, enabling the Company to deliver continued earnings growth despite ongoing economic uncertainty and volatility in the energy market.
“During the second half of the year, we will continue enhancing the operational efficiency of our existing assets while expanding investments in businesses aligned with our strategic direction. Our goal is to generate sustainable returns for shareholders and strengthen the Company’s long-term growth and resilience”, Rawee said.
