Nvidia and Saudi PIF Reveal Billions in SpaceX Holdings

Nvidia and Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) have publicly reported substantial investments in SpaceX, underscoring significant capital flow into Elon Musk’s aerospace company.

Recent regulatory filings reveal that the two institutions now rank among SpaceX’s largest shareholders, providing fresh insight into the company’s ownership structure following its public listing last month.

According to Nvidia’s filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the chipmaker’s stake in SpaceX was valued at approximately $21 billion as of the end of the second quarter. Nvidia holds 122.8 million Class A shares.

SpaceX shares finished trading down 1% at $140 on Friday.

Musk remains SpaceX’s principal shareholder, with a stake worth about $900 billion that includes 849.49 million Class A shares. In addition, Musk controls another 3.916 billion Class B shares through a trust, along with 1.3 billion restricted Class B shares and 350 million more tied to stock options. Alphabet stands as the company’s second-largest stakeholder with a position worth roughly $78 billion.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) disclosed ownership of 154,146,835 SpaceX shares worth $26.34 billion as of June 30, representing the sovereign fund’s largest U.S. public equity holding for the quarter and a newly reported position in its second-quarter filing.
