Ms. Kantima Lerlertyuttitham, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Corporate Officer at AIS

Ms. Kantima Lerlertyuttitham, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Corporate Officer at AIS, said, “AIS has always believed that the growth of a single organization alone cannot be considered sustainable. A strong business must grow alongside society, the economy, and the people of the country. This belief is the foundation of AIS Academy’s Think Ahead for Thais mission, which looks beyond the skills organizations need today to anticipate the changes Thailand is facing and how we can help prepare Thai people for what lies ahead.

Through AIS ACADEMY For THAIs, we have opened up AIS Academy’s knowledge and expertise to society, continuously adapting our people development agenda to address the country’s evolving challenges, from the COVID-19 pandemic and Thailand’s transition into an ageing society to today, when AI is rapidly transforming the economy, the workplace, and everyday life.

The key question is no longer simply whether we have or can access AI technology, but whether our people are ready to use it effectively. Thailand is moving from an era focused on Access toward one centered on Capability, while the world is advancing beyond Generative AI toward the next stages of AI evolution, including Artificial General Intelligence, or AGI.

What we need to prepare, therefore, is not simply the ability to use any particular AI tool, which can change at any time, but the development of true AI Capability. This means enabling people to continuously learn and adapt, ask the right questions, work effectively with AI, and apply it to create greater productivity, business value, innovation, and new opportunities in a responsible and informed way.   This is the thinking behind ‘MASTERING AI BEYOND BORDERS’, which aims to empower Thai people to understand AI, use it effectively, stay informed about its implications, apply it in real-world contexts, and create meaningful value from it.

At the same time, we want to help people move beyond barriers related to knowledge, skills, careers, age, geography, and access to learning opportunities. Thailand needs more than strong AI Infrastructure. We also need AI-ready People who can turn AI into a force that strengthens the country’s competitiveness. AIS Academy’s goal, therefore, is not simply to help Thai people keep pace with AI, but to empower them to use AI to go further than before, creating greater opportunities for themselves, their organizations, society, and Thailand as a whole.”

This year, AIS Academy continues to strengthen its collaboration with the National Innovation Agency (Public Organization), or NIA, to enhance technology capabilities across networks of startups, entrepreneurs, investors, educational institutions, and research organizations, while reinforcing the Innovation Ecosystem and Future Talent Ecosystem. The collaboration also extends to JUMP Thailand Hackathon 2026, under the theme “AI for the Future of Thai Education,” where the 10 finalist teams will compete in the Final Pitching round at AIS ACADEMY For THAIs 2026.

At the same time, AIS Academy is working with the Office of Knowledge Management and Development (Public Organization), or OKMD, to strengthen the Learning Ecosystem and expand access to AI learning across the regions through the AIS Academy For THAIs 2026 Roadshow throughout August 2026. The roadshow will take place in four provinces, namely Phitsanulok, Nakhon Ratchasima, Chachoengsao, and Nakhon Si Thammarat, featuring AI technology workshops aimed at broadening learning opportunities for people in communities across Thailand.

AIS Academy also continues to work closely with government agencies whose missions focus on strengthening and developing people’s capabilities. In the past year, AIS Academy collaborated with the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS) to bring knowledge and technology to vulnerable groups, including persons with disabilities and older persons, helping them gain greater access to and benefit from technology.

This year, AIS Academy has further expanded its collaboration with agencies under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) through the development of the Thailand AI Readiness Index (TARI), which is designed to assess and strengthen AI readiness among Thai organizations. Looking ahead, AIS Academy is preparing to expand its collaboration with the Ministry of Education (MOE) to develop AI and future technology skills for vocational students, helping equip the future workforce with capabilities that respond to evolving labor market needs.

These collaborations reflect AIS Academy’s commitment to working with the public sector to expand learning opportunities and equip different groups across Thai society with the skills and capabilities they need to navigate future change.
